so i'm working on this guy's computer today, some big senior manager blahblahblah. anyway, since i'm a voyeur and since it was an IE problem anyway, i wsa checking out his favorites. just cause i like to see what people are into, if there's anything interesting to amuse myself with.

anyway, this guy, totally anal retentive with all his links in folders and subcatergorized into other folders. all pretty typical for that kind of guy, business links, stock quotes, internal sites, the requisite "culture and art" page-in this instance a link to the louve(sp?) gallery- just the usual for that kind of guy.

until

one folder, titled agnos, a little suspicious since everything else is so clearly and definitively labelled "stocks", "tv", "art", "fun", so there it was in the "other" folder- agnos.

i'm not up on the dead language front, so i'm not positive what it mean but it can't be anything good.

because

in this folder, there were links.to.nothing.but.suicide.websites.

like suicide faqs, suicide letter writing, suicide and the holidays, sucicide methodology, there was probably 15 sites there. and they were all how-to.

this is where i get a bit troubled. now. maybe this this guy just has a moribd fascination with death or self-annihilation, and hey, who doesn't, but dude is just a little too thourough in his research, i think, to call it a healthy curiousity.

so. not like i can say anything. "oh hey, i was going through your personal shit while i was fixing your machine and think you need to talk to someone buddy." don't think that would be the greatest idea. but i wonder. what if he offs himself? am i a guilty party? i'm going to be keeping tabs on this guy. check every once in a while &see if he's still in the office directory.

maybe

justmaybe

this was some sort of lesson.
