first monday night. escorted on a hipster pub crawl. 4 bars in 3 hours, i think we did all right. let's see if i can remember where we went.
1)the rainbo club-funny cause when we walked up my friend says, "you can tell its emo cause on the weekends you can hardly walk up cause of all the bikes parked out front." the guy from joan of arc bartends there. nuff said. fun in the wheres my white belt vein. had rotating art, and a cool curved bar to sit at.
2)the interbar?(i think)-free pool. actually had the hockey game on. friend informed me that hockey is the only acceptable sport to enjoy within hipster community. that made me laugh. was told has open mike nites that border on the tragically beautiful.it is a bar for drinking. a neighborhood hangout, in the cheers kinda way i think.
3)club foot-by far i think this was my favorite. they had a bar dog that was adorable and gave me kisses. they had a doctor who pinball machine and tetris. they has all sorts of action figures and buttons and flyers and other nerdy things i appreciate everywhere. and drinks were super cheap. and the music was good. i <3 this bar. too bad i don't think i will ever be able to find it again on my own.
4)lava lounge- kinda okay. but in the trying too hard to be cool kinda way. its all lit up in red lights and its got red vinyl seats and zebra couches and its set up in a strange way. and there was this opening in the wall, and i remember looking at it and thinking i was looking at a mirror but it wasn't a mirror, it was a hole in the wall and i was looking at these people sitting in another room. i did that like 3 or 4 times, and that was strange. we didn't stay here very long, cause by now it was getting late and we were getting sloppy.
